Rev. Fr. Demosthenes Nicolaou
Fr Demos is the Parish Priest of Saint Paraskevi Church in St Albans. He was Ordained to the Priesthood in July 2009 upon completion of his Theological Degree at St Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Theological College in Sydney, and with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Stylianos of Australia. Fr Demos has since, together with the Church community, ministered to the people of St Albans, Melbourne and abroad. In October 2019 Fr Demos was bestowed the blessing of Father Confessor, by His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
Over the years Fr Demos has worked closely with his Parishioners to establish and lead the Holy Sacraments and Liturgical Services, Fellowship Evenings with Prayers and Spiritual Talks, Sunday School classes, Children’s Bible Study group and Choir, youth nights, Elderly Citizens gatherings and much more. We have also seen the establishment of the Parish’s new Function Hall for social and Spiritual functions of our Parish and community, Pilgrimages to both local and distant Churches, Monasteries and Holy Lands, and a forever-growing bond of the Church Family, in friendship and spirituality.
